Charles C. Weller, founder and CEO, created Ground-Based Nutrition out of passion and dedication to living a healthy and fit lifestyle. Being a life-long fitness professional, Charles understands the importance of plant-based nutrition and its impact on one’s health and longevity. Charles created natural food supplements that he not only believes in, but products that he personally uses on a daily basis. CHARLES C. WELLER has been involved in the fitness industry for over twenty years. He is a practicing attorney and has been general counsel and outside corporate counsel to numerous nutrition and supplement companies. After representing too many companies that sell unhealthy products based solely on marketing hype, Charles decided to create Ground-Based Nutrition focusing on health-promoting food supplements that he is truly passionate about. A life-long fitness enthusiast, Charles has a black belt in Kenpo Karate, loves extreme adrenaline-pumping sports, and stays healthy and fit by fueling his active lifestyle with plant-based nutrition. He is joined by his sister, Jodi Scheibe who oversees the company’s sales and marketing.

Charles has his roots in the San Diego community, and he believes that change starts on the local level. Ground-Based Nutrition supports the San Diego County Childhood Obesity Initiative – a public/private partnership whose mission is to reduce and prevent childhood obesity in San Diego County by creating healthy environments for all children and families through advocacy, education, policy development, and environmental change.
