Cloudways Review: Managed Cloud Hosting Plans, Pricing & Deals
Editorial Team · 5 min read · Updated October 2026
Cloudways (cloudways.com) is a managed cloud hosting platform owned by DigitalOcean. Instead of selling shared hosting, it lets you choose a cloud provider — DigitalOcean, AWS, Google Cloud, Linode (Akamai) or Vultr — and then handles server setup, security, backups, caching and updates for you through one dashboard. It is popular with agencies, freelancers and growing online stores.

You get the performance of real cloud infrastructure, flexible pay-as-you-go pricing and an easy dashboard, though complete beginners may find it more technical than one-click shared hosts, and email hosting is a paid add-on.
